Beirut Photo - A Week of Photography in Beirut
The Beirut Center of Photography (BCP) in partnership with Soura has launched the week of photography in Beirut last November, under the title of “Beirut Photo.” It was a playful and educational event open to the public, which provided an opportunity for the photographic world of Lebanon to shine through its wealth and creativity.
During one week, throughout the program the public was invited to attend round tables and workshops to think about photography.
Far from labelling and coming up with theories, the event was mainly aimed at providing a possibility to understand and question the different typologies of photographic practices.
During this first edition, visitors was also been capable of benefitting from a varied program including conferences and workshops as well as the “Photo Fair”, where 20 to 30 photographers were invited to display a selection of their works and books.
